AV Technician (Multimedia Installations)

Our client is a high profile organisation based in Central London. They now have a new opportunity for an AV Technician to join their in-house AV team.
This staff appointment is unique in that the role offers you the chance to work with a truly diverse client base, assisting in the design, planning and installation of AV equipment which is used to create multimedia environments.
These temporary multimedia installations range from simple one-to-one meetings for clients through to complex presentations and large exhibitions where specified. As a result this position entails closely working with AV equipment suppliers, designers and IT technicians including software developers. All the while your role will be to communicate progress with internal and external clients under the supervision of a senior manager.
Ideally you will be experienced in live sound, projection, video and multimedia as well as the set-up and breakdown of AV equipment. Post installation you will also have knowledge of general maintenance.
In summary this position appeals to the AV enthusiast seeking to develop their career in multimedia with scope for long term specialisation in a related discipline such as video, projection or lighting.
Your salary starts at £22,900k (reviewed annually from 1st April according to post grading) for a 36 hour working week Monday-Friday including 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after 3 years of service); occupational pension currently at 3.5% member contribution rate, interest-free Season Ticket Loan and discounted restaurant.

Project Manager

Our client specialises in Audio Visual system integration. They now seek to appoint a permanent Project Manager.
Overview
The Project Manager will be required to lead a portfolio of projects being responsible for the successful project delivery within the Corporate, Education and Public Sector teams. The role will be Home Counties based however with clients across the UK you will be expected to travel to attend client sites on a regular basis. You will work as part of the Operations team to assist with managing every aspect of projects from pre-sales to sign-off ensuring that high standards of customer service are met throughout.
Role and responsibilities
1. To ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the clients
2. To manage, monitor and control the project budget, identifying resources required.
3. Coordination of project personnel and subcontractors for the duration of the projects
4. Production of project documentation, such as method statements, risk assessments, project plans, system schematics, handover documents, action plans, progress reports and project review summaries.
5. Liaison with Account Managers, Clients, Third Party suppliers and Contractors
6. Weekly Project financial reporting to the Commercial Director.
Skills required
1. Experience of managing large scale projects
2. Experience of managing project budgets, project values in excess of £250k.
2. Knowledge of MS Projects
3. Excellent communicator
4. Technical understanding of AV and VC equipment, functionality and installation processes would be an advantage.

Role Summary
As a result of continued growth and a commitment to world class customer service, the company is seeking to recruit a new, exceptional Service Delivery Manager.
The company provides a portfolio of on-site Audio Visual Managed Services to large corporate organisations both inside and outside of London with services including:
Videoconference and meeting room support
Managed Service Desk,
Technical support & maintenance
Project Management
Event Production and Support
Digital Media production and publishing
This role is responsible for managing a number of these customer engagements, managing both the on-site Teams (approximately 40 staff via on-site Team Leader/AV Manager) and the customer relationships, ensuring the profitable delivery of the company's Service Contracts.
The Service Delivery Manager's prime function is to oversee the on site delivery team to ensure that the contracted services are delivered in accordance with agreed expectations and the company's contracted Service Level Agreements. Managing all on-site staffing activities, ensuring best practice, customer focussed teams, a progressive approach, a strong team orientated approach and the integration of new sites once won.
Other functions include:
Service development and augmentation
Training and development of on-site staff
Overall management of Service Review Reporting and Reviews
Acting as Service Management interface between the company and the Customer
Overall Summary Profile
The ideal candidate will be 100% Service Delivery focussed, and will have been managing a service delivery environment for at least two years. The candidate must demonstrate strong people management skills. They will have worked in a challenging high tempo environment and thrive upon change and growth.
Absolute Requirements
The candidate will have an absolute minimum of 2 years management experience of a team of senior technicians
Can demonstrate well honed leadership skills
Will clearly demonstrate a highly developed Service focussed attitude
Will have extensive experience in working in a pressured operational environment across multiple sites
Can demonstrate a clear history of team development in teams they have managed
Is commercially astute and can demonstrate strong reporting skills
Can demonstrate excellent report writing skills
Will be professional in appearance and attitude
Will de educated to A level or BTech at a minimum
Will be fully IT literate with strong MS Office skills
Optional Requirements
Will have a good working knowledge in all AV disciplines
Has a working knowledge of ITIL (Foundation level certification)
Has delivered Managed Services to large corporate customers
Has been educated to degree level

Job Title: Project Design Engineer (open to experienced engineers and / or graduates)
Starting Salary: up to £35k (dependent upon experience)

As a min requirement you will have a proven academic background in an audio, video, and electrical or media discipline ideally at degree level or equivalent.
Key responsibilities:
Working with both internal team members and external partners and subcontractors to deliver and commission sophisticated and complex installations to clients
Audio visual system design, space planning & schematic design
Production of technical proposal documents
Interfacing and coordinating with clients to ensure that diverse spaces & environments are suitable for the AV solution
Producing cost estimates for projects
Production of technical specifications

Handover of completed systems to clients
